History of the group
SETTING UP THE COMPANY
The political shift led the cooperative to adapt to new socio-political and economic orientations, and consequently to transform its articles of association into a limited company, administered by a Board of Directors and a Chief Executive Officer, open to new shareholders to raise equity capital and with access to external financing through bank loans. This marked the beginning of the odyssey of the young Sifcol Company, which at the time was the pioneer manufacturer of glue and its derivatives.
Founded in 1964, Sifcol was the first Tunisian industrial company to manufacture glue and its derivatives. Having political and strategic significance to the government, it was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Habib Bourguiba.
ENTRY INTO PRODUCTION
This year saw the completion of the investment program and consequently the start of production at the Company.
LAUNCH OF ALCASIT
Sifcol launched its first binder product under the ® Alcasit brand with the aim of expanding and evolving its market. This product was, then, developed and introduced to the market for use in renovation and decoration activities.
CREATION OF THE SUBSIDIARY SIFCOL DISTRIBUTION
The promotion of a technical department and the installation of a laboratory for quality control of raw materials, in-process products and finished products have enabled the company to develop its performance, establish its hegemony, particularly in the local market, and provide for its sustained growth.
Additionally, customer satisfaction and the ever-increasing demand for its products were the driving forces behind the creation of its subsidiary “Sifcol Distribution”. Today, this subsidiary is the springboard and motivator behind several national and international businesses.
The Sifcol group of companies has signed several contracts with established foreign partners who represent the ⓇSifcol brand in several Arab, African and European countries, namely Libya, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Niger, France, etc…
OBTAINING TUV CERTIFICATE 9002
The Sifcol Group obtained its first certificate: ISO 9002 from TUV.
CERTIFICATION OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO9001: 2000

IMPLEMENTATION OF A HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Ensuring compliance and maximizing performance are the ultimate goals of our activity. Accordingly, Sifcol has implemented an occupational health and safety management system to guarantee the safety, availability and reliability of its services.
